Plantation:
The guava tree starts giving fruits only after 2 years. If the tree is well maintained in the beginning, then it can get good production for 30-40 years. Most guava plants in the country are produced by seeds, but it is believed that this causes variation in the trees. Therefore, emphasis is being laid on preparing plants by botanical method. Kalmi guava plant is available from the nursery at the rate of 20 to 25 rupees per plant. The months of July, August and September are considered suitable for planting the plant. Plantation in irrigated areas can also be done in the months of February and March. Planting guava plants at a distance of 5 × 5 meters or 6 × 6 meters is more beneficial. Irrigation of small guava trees should be good. So that the soil where the roots are, can be kept moist. After the tree grows, irrigation should be done at an interval of 10 to 15 days. Maintenance of the garden the leaves start yellowing on the top of most trees only after the rain and the branches of the trees start drying up one after the other. Therefore maintenance should be done. During December to February, after harvesting trees, sufficient new buds are formed. For the spread and development of these buds, management should be done in May. Due to this, the crop is good in winter. Similarly, in May, the buds from trees that have been pruned should be managed in October. By doing this, the crop is good in the rainy season.

The guava tree, if grown in ground will grow to a height up to 12 feet in tropical regions. The tree will grow to a smaller size in a container. The tree produces white 1 inch size flowers.

The guava fruits are about 5 inches in diameter; either oval, round or pear shaped and the ripe fruit has a rich pungent smell which spreads quickly in the house.

The guava fruit has white, pink yellow flesh having seeds at its center. The taste of the fruit varies from sour to sweet, depending on its variety.

There are many species of pomegranate: -

• Ganesh: - The flowering of this species is produced in large quantities. The size of Ganesh variety of fruits is normal. The fruits of this variety are grown mostly in the province of Maharashtra.
• Muscat: - The type of fruits found in this variety is small and its upper peels are thick. Its seeds are soft and the juices are very sweet.
• Dholka: - The fruits of the Dholka species flourish in very large quantities simultaneously. The color of its peel is mostly white / green. Its grain looks like pink and white.
• Jalore / Bedana: - The size of the fruits found in this species is large. Its peels are of dark red color and the seeds are very soft.
• Apart from all these, there are many other species of pomegranates, such as: Basin irons which are mostly grown in Karnataka, Ruby, Mridula etc.

• About 50 to 60 cm before planting the plant. Deep pit should be dug.

• At the time of planting the plant should be spaced at least 5 meters between two plants.
